Calapan City Mayor Panaligan leads inauguration of P12.5M Suqui Bridge
Calapan City Mayor Arnan Panaligan has led the inauguration of the P12.5-million Suqui Bridge project.
The said infrastructure project was funded by the city government and was finished ahead of its schedule.
Severak key city government officials were present during the inauguration of the multimillion infrastructure project.
“City Mayor Arnan C. Panaligan led the inaugural rites with Vice Mayor Gil Ramirez, members of the Sangguniang Panlungsod and City Government Department Heads,” Panaligan’s office said.
“Barangay chairpersons were also present at the event. The new bridge replaced the old and structurally weak one lane bridge,” it added.
With the construction of the new bridge, traffic is expected to be decongested.
“With the new Suqui Bridge, vehicles coming to and from the port to the southern part of the province can now use the Suqui-Parang-Palhi- Sapul-Bayanan Road that will help decongest traffic in the city business district,” Panaligan’s office said.
