Ayaw patalo! Odiongan Mayor Trina Fabic lauds her town’s steady climb in competitiveness index
Odiongan may not be at the top yet in terms of competitiveness, but it is swiftly rising through the ranks.
Odiongan Mayor Trina Fabic celebrated this fact as she noted that in 2016, Odiongan was 404th in the Cities and Municipalities Index of the Department of Trade and Industry’s/National Competitiveness Council.
But it was already at 132nd place by 2017, and this year, it improved further to be ranked 47th out of 1,360 municipalities, Fabic said.
Moreover, Odiongan is the number 1 most competitive municipality in the MIMAROPA region, she said.
Competitiveness is determined based on the town’s economic dynamism, government efficiency, infrastructure, and resiliency, and Odiongan’s swift rise could only mean good news for the town’s residents.
The mayor thanked the town’s officials and residents for the achievement, and wished that they would all remain united to make Odiongan the best town it can be.
Onward to number one!
