The Palawan provincial council wants to invite the officials of the regional office of the Department of Public Works and Highways (DPWH) and Provincial Engineering Office to discuss the infrastructure projects in the province.

The council also wants to invite the officer in charge of the Infrastructure Unit of the IHELP program, Engr. Saylito Purisima.

In his privilege speech, Board Member David Francis P. Ponce de Leon expressed concern on the length of time to finish infrastructure projects in different municipalities as well as the six-lane roads in the province.

“Unang-una because Palawan is the last frontier and we love so much our environment, napakahirap mag-implement ng isang proyekto na napakaraming puno sa tabi ng kalsada… hindi ganoon kadaling magputol ng puno. Kaya putol-putol ang implementasyon,” said Board Member Albert Rama.

Rama also cited the need to transfer water pipes and electricity posts which delays the implementation of the prpjects.

Meanwhile, Board Member Cherry Pie Acosta has other concern.
