Camarines Sur Gov. Migz Villafuerte is getting help from all the way to the north of the country as he launches programs for the province.

Villafuerte welcomed Davao City Mayor Sara Duterte to the launching of the project to rehabilitate and protect a main tributary of the Bicol River.

The project is one of utmost importance since Camarines Sur has been given this year the Saringaya Award, highest recognition of the Department of Environment and Natural Resources, he said.

Mayor Duterte was the guest of honor at the event, and she shared the sustainable development programs she has implemented in Davao City.

We wonder, though. Is a Cam Sur-Davao City alliance brewing, and not just for the environment?

“All smiles today as we officially launched the rehabilitation and protection of another main tributary of the Bicol River 🙂 Environmental protection is a priority to us. Camsur is an awardee of DENR’s highest environmental award – Saringaya Award 2018! Also proud that Camsur is recognized best practice in Integrated coastal management by the Biodiversity Management Bureau 🙂 Maraming salamat po sa lahat ng El Verde Movement warriors at sa aming guest of honor, ang napakabait at sipag, Mayor Sara Duterte sa pagdalo sa aming okasyon at sa pagshare ng mga sustainable development programs of Davao city! 👊🏽👊🏽👊🏽,” Villafuerte posted on Instagram.
