Gov. Cua welcomes newly appointed CSC-Catanduanes PD Lanuza
Governor Joseph Cua has welcomed in his office the newly appointed Civil Service Commission-Catanduanes Provincial Director Andronico D. Lanuza
Lanuza, appointed by the Chairperson of National CSC, replaced PD Raymundo V. Atendido. He also served as the Sorsogon CSC Provincial Director.
“The new PD of CSC, Lanuza together with Ms. Elaine R. Ang, the Senior Human Resource (HR) Specialist of CSC- Catanduanes, paid a courtesy call to Governor Joseph C. Cua, this August 6, 2018 at the Governor’s Office-Conference Room,” the province said.
Lanuza said that he served in Masbate and Sorsogon.
“I was assigned in Masbate for 7 years. Nung magkabakante sa Sorsogon, nilipat ako doon. I stayed there for 4 ½ years,” Lanuza said.
Among his plans for the province are to conduct the annual Civil Service Examination in the province, double the number of the examinees and pass the ISO certification in the CSC Provincial Field Office.
“Sa amin, sa opisina mismo, we are undergoing ISO certification. As we look at it, marami pa ang gagawin. Ika-career na rin natin iyon na maging papunta na rin tayo sa ISO certified na opisina. Sa civil service commission kasi sa Sorsogon, kami yung pioneer. 4 na provincial offices sa buong Pilipinas, pioneer kami doon,” he was quoted as saying.
He also said that to get an ISO certification, the concerted effort of everyone, including the council of Human Resource Management Officers (HRMOs), will be needed.
“Isang plano pa sa exam ay yung mas mapataas pa yung examiners. Kung mas marami ang nag-apply, sa percentage-wise, mas marami rin ang papasa,” he said..
