Mayor Bongat leads groundbreaking of P28M City College of Naga building
Naga City Mayor John Bongat spearheaded the groundbreaking of the new “home” of the City College of Naga.
Bongat led the Groundbreaking Ceremony and Unveiling of Perspective of the new building of the City College of Naga (CCN) at the Naga City Convention Complex Development Site last Saturday.
The said side is located along the Almeda Highway, Concepcion Grande.
According to the city government, the new building will house 16 additional classrooms. It is expected to be used in school year 2019-2020.
The new building was funded by the grant from Quezon City amounting to P21 million and P7 million counterpart from the Naga City government.
“The new edifice, funded through the 21M grant from the Quezon City Government and 7M counterpart from the Naga City Government, will be housing 16 classrooms for the students of the CCN in response to the problem of the lack of classrooms of the school and is expected to finish the construction within 6 months to be used in time of the opening of classes for the next school year, 2019-2020,” said the city government.
Meanwhile, Mayor Bongat expressed gratitude to QC Mayor Herbert Bautista for the grant.
“GROUNDBREAKING THIS MORNING of the new City College of Naga Bldg at the city property along Almeda Highway, Naga City worth P28 million, P21 million of which is a grant from the Quezon City gov’t, our sister city. Thank you very much Mayor Herbert “Bistek” Bautista and the entire QC Gov’t!,” Mayor Bongat said.
