The Occidental Mindoro provincial government has led the celebration of the 40th National Disability Prevention and Rehabilitation (NDPR) Week in MIMAROPA Region.

This year’s celebration carries the theme “Kakayahan at Kasanayan Para sa Kabuhayan Tungo sa Kaunlaran.”

It was held at the Capitol Complex in Mamburao.

“Sa okasyon ito ay kinikilala ang kakayahan at bahagi ng ating mga kababayang PWDs at kanilang kontribusyon bilang produktibong mamamayan,” said the province.

Sally Lamoca, OIC-PSWDO, said that they felt elated as the DSWD, DOH, DILG, DepEd, PNP and other local at national agencies sent representatives to the event.

Meanwhile, Vice Governor Peter De Jesus Alfaro expressed gratitude to all the people behind the event.

The Vice Governor particularly thanked BM Sonia Pablo, Edwin Mintu, AJ Rebong, Atty. Ernesto Jaravata, at Juanito Lumawig.

The last NDPR Week celebration was held in Romblon.
