Happy palengke! Daraga Mayor Carlwyn “Awin” Baldo clears the market of obstructions
It’s a given that public markets tend to be crowded, but it doesn’t mean that people should be left with no space to walk on.
Daraga Mayor Carlwyn “Awin” Baldo made sure that shoppers at the market would have a more pleasant experience by relocating ambulant vendors who had clogged the passageways.
In a Facebook post, Baldo said he tapped social welfare and disaster risk reduction officials to work with the ambulant vendors so that their respective stalls could be put in the proper places.
With this, not only would the vendors get their proper space, the shoppers would find it easier to navigate the market as well.
We call this a win-win!
“Daraga public market has been a spot for ambulant vending which causes obstruction on its passageways leaving less space for the public to walk on.
To address this persisting inconvenience, officials from MDRRMO and MSWD cooperated with our ambulant vendors situated at the aforesaid site with regards to the proper placement of their respective stalls.
