Gov. Umali meets with transport groups ahead of Oriental Mindoro Transport Summit
Governor Alfonso Umali, Jr. has met with the several transport groups in the province to discuss their concerns ahead of the scheduled Oriental Mindoro Transport Summit on July 12.
The same groups will face the Transportation department and the Land Transportation Franchising and Regulatory Board this Thursday for the said summit.
“Pinag-usapan sa nasabing pulong ang aplikasyon para sa hinihiling na Provisional Authority ng Pamahalaang Panlalawigan sa mga proposed routes ( Calapan-Puerto Galera, Calapan-Pinamalayan at Pinamalayan-Roxas),” the province said.
Meanwhile, the Provincial Planning and Development Office also showed the initial Local Proposed Transport Route Plan (LPTRP) of the Provincial Government.
“Sa huli ay nagpasalamat ang Gobernador sa mga dumalo dahil sa pakikiisa ng mga ito na maging katuwang ng pamahalaan sa pagsasaayos ng sistema ng transportasyon sa lalawigan,” said the province.
Aside from the transport groups, several key Provincial Government officials were present during the meeting.
“Pinadaloy ang gawain ni PDRRM Officer Vincent Gahol at dinaluhan din nina OIC-Supervising Tourism Operation Officer at Special Projects and Programs In-Charge Dhon Calda, Provincial Planning and Development Coordinator Lydia Munieca Melgar at Provincial Legal Officer Atty. Kristine Suarez,” said the province.
