Puno ng puno! Naga Mayor John Bongat celebrates Arbor Day
Naga Mayor John Bongat took Arbor Day seriously.
And no, it was not about asking your friends to give you their things.
Bongat said some 7,000 trees were planted on Arbor Day, a holiday when individuals are encouraged to plant trees, and during Naga’s Pilimania anniversary.
The mayor thanked city and barangay officials and private individuals who joined the earth-friendly activity, as well as the Naga View Adventist College which dedicated 9 hectares to plant Pili trees.
With their collective effort, Naga is becoming greener and a better place to live in!
