VP Leni Robredo amused by curious kid
Vice President Leni Robredo had a warm and funny experience during a rainy visit to a barangay in Tanay, Rizal recently.
Robredo visited the remote Bgy. Sto Nino, one of Tanay’s mountain villages, amid heavy rain.
Her group had to trek through a muddy and slippery road to reach the area, but the warm experience they got upon arrival made up for it, she said.
She particularly enjoyed her exchange with a little boy, who she helped to button up his shirt.
She had difficulty completing the task because there was a tear near the shirt’s button, which she wondered about.
The boy told her that he cut up that portion himself because he wanted to test the sharpness of his new pair of scissors.
Robredo could not help but be amused by this.
At least the boy now knows that the scissors work!
“We trekked to Bgy Sto Niño in Tanay, Rizal yesterday. Sto Niño is one of the 6 mountain barangays of the town. It was raining hard and the way was muddy and slippery. But the people gave us a very warm welcome. We visited Sto. Niño Elementary School and this was the conversation I had with this young boy.Me(while I was trying to button his polo): Kaya pala di ko masara polo mo kasi may punit dito sa tbi ng butones. Ano ba nangyari dito?Boy: Ginupit ko po.Me: Bakit mo ginupit?Boy: Sinampolan ko lang po yung gunting na bagong bili ng Nanay ko ,” Robredo posted on Facebook.
