Albay Governor Bichara tells SK leaders to be active, save youth from illegal drugs
Albay Governor Al Francis Bichara has reminded the newly elected Sangguniang Kabataan Provincial Federation to be active and save the youth they represent from illegal drugs.
The governor spoke at the SK Provincial Federation Orientation and Election held at the Albay Astrodome yesterday, where he called on the officials to be the “proper role model” to their fellow youth leaders and to the community as a whole.
“You have a lot of work ahead of you, you need to be very active from the get-go so that you will be able to accomplish a lot,”
Bichara was quoted as saying.
Bichara also reminded the SK leaders that they have a monumental task to their community and to the youth sector.
He added that they must be active in protecting the youth, particularly from drugs.
“You must protect the youth, specially from drugs, if you suspect of any illegal activities, specially those pertaining to drugs, coordinate immediately with the concerned agencies,” the Governor said.
During the elections of the SK Provincial Federation, the SK Chairman from Brgy Cotmon in Camalig, Jesus Go, won as the president.
