Walang ban! Ligao Mayor Patricia Alsua welcomes school supplies from Kuwaiti volunteers
From Kuwait, with love.
The Philippines and Kuwait may have had a dust-up over the treatment of Filipino workers with the gulf state, but there’s nothing but good vibes between Ligao, Albay Mayor Patricia Alsua and a group of Kuwaiti volunteers.
Alsua thanked the Kuwait Red Crescent Society volunteers for donating school supplies to students from Nabonton, Buga and Baligang Elementary School, just in time for the opening of classes.
The Kuwaiti volunteers distributed the supplies in cooperation with the Philippine Red Cross.
No need to declare anybody persona non-grata here. In fact, we bet these Kuwaiti volunteers would be welcome to come back to Ligao anytime!
“Mayor Patricia Gonzalez-Alsua extended her gratitude to the Kuwait Red Crescent Society volunteers for donating school supplies to the students of Nabonton, Buga and Baligang Elementary School, June 4.
The said volunteers, in cooperation with the Philippine Red Cross, distributed the supplies in time for the opening of the school year.
Thank you so much ,” the City Government of Ligao posted on its Facebook page.
