DOTr proposes additional routes for UV express in Occidental Mindoro

The Department of Transportation has proposed an additional routes in Occidental Mindoro to solve the transportation woes in the province.

During the 86th regular session of the Sangguniang Panlalawigan, Board Member Aj Rebong, Chairman of the committee of transportation and communication, reported the proposal of the DOTr.

“Sa ulat ni Bokal Aj Rebong, Chairman ng Komite ng Transportasyon at Komunikasyon, iniulat nya ang mungkahi ng DOTr sa LTFRB na magkaroon ng dagdag na bagong ruta at pagpayag na makapag biyahe ang utility van sa lansangan ng lalawigan ng OKSI,” the provincial government reported.

“Ang itinalagang dami ng van ay base sa mga sasakyang pag-aari ng lehitimong taga probinsiya sa lalawigan ng Kanlurang Mindoro,” it added.

Aside from San Jose, Occidental Mindoro- Bulalacao, Oriental Mindoro, Bulalacao, Oriental Mindoro- Roxas Oriental Mindoro, the following routes were proposed by the Transportation department:

San Jose to Sablayan (88km), 20 units UV Express; Sablayan to Mamburao (92km), 20 units UV Express; Mamburao to Paluan (40km), 20 UV Express; Mamburao to Abre de Ilog (30km), 20 units UV Express; San Jose to Abra de Ilog route (210 km), 20 units Mini-bus or Bus; San Jose to Bulalacao Oriental Mindoro (51km), 20 units UV Express at Bulalacao to Roxas, Oriental Mindoro (50km), 20 units UV Express.

The proposed routes, according to the DOTr, met the standards of the PUV Modernization Program.
