The Calapan City council tackled the proposed ordinance which seeks to require all tourism accommodation establishments and same day tourist destinations to report tourists statistics data to the City Tourism Office.

The council threshed out all the issues of proposed ordinance last May 21 and was attended by several tourism establishments.

Life Hotel, Bulalo Mangrove Inn, Eduardo’s Resort, Sweet Care Hotel at Jessstar Resort,” the city council said.

The proposed ordinance will require tourism related establishments to submit Tourist Statistics Data Report which will be now part of the requirements for the renewal of their Permit to Operate.

Under the proposal, the information that will be gathered will be strictly confidential for the protection of these business establishments.
