Albay holds 2-day job fair, livelihood fair as part of Magayon Festival 2018
Magayon Festival is not just an event for parties and celebrations but it is also an opportunity to bring jobs for Albayanos.
The Provincial Government of Albay held a two-day Magayon Job Fair Cum Livelihood fair starting today as part of the celebration of thr 19th iteration of Magayon Festival.
The provincial government said that hundreds of applicants line up to hunt for local and overseas jobs.
“Local and overseas employers and hundreds of applicants gather for a two day Magayon Job Fair Cum Livelihood fair at the Albay Astrodome, starting today May 17 to May 18, 2018,” said the provincial government.
“A total of 29 local employers and 6 overseas employers attended the job fair and hopes to find applicants that suit the job,” it added.
The Public Employment Service Office (PESO) of Albay made sure that those overseas works available are legitimate.
“During the Opening Program, Ms Rafaelita Nicoleta, the PESO Manager of Albay assured the Job hunters that all the employers especially the overseas Employers have underwent a screening to confirm its legitimacy,” said the province.
This year’s Magayon Job Fair is organized by the Provincial Government of Albay through the PESO in coordination with the Department of Labor and Employment Region-V, Philippine Overseas Employment Administration and the Albay PESO Federation.
