Over 150K families in CamSur to get emergency shelter assistance, Gov. Villafuerte says
Camarines Sur Governor Miguel Villafuerte said that more than 150,000 families will get P10,000 emergency shelter assistance from the national government.
Villafuerte has been recently leading the distribution of financial assistance to different towns of the province who were hit by typhoon Nina.
The latest distributio was held in Libmaman town where 4,167 families benefited.
Gov. Villafuerte was joined by his father, CamSur Rep. Luis Raymund “LRay” Villafuerte during the distribution in Libmanan.
“Over 150,000 families province-wide shall receive the same benefits for partially damaged houses during Typhoon Nina,” said Governor Villafuerte.
Just recently, more than 4,400 families in Milaor and
Camaligan towns received Emergency Shelter Assistance from the national government.
In Milaor, a total of 2,598 families received the emergency assistance. Moreover, 1,832 families in Camaligan got their ESA.
Overall, 4,430 families have benefited from the aid from the Department of Social Welfare and Development, under the administration of President Rodrigo Duterte.
The Province of CamSur said that Rep. Villafuerte’s “consistent” follow-ups made the assistance program possible.
“The joint efforts of the Milaor MSWD & the Capitol in verifying and documenting affected families and Cong. Lray Villafuerte’s consistent follow ups on the national level made all these possible,” said the province
