OrMin Gov. Umali meets with Charo Santos to discuss province’s agriculture sector
Oriental Mindoro Governor Alfonso Umali, Jr. has met with ABS-CBN’s Charo Santos-Concio yesterday to discuss the agriculture industry of the province.
The province said that it has been partnering with various organizations and private sector in the province to develop further its agriculture industry.
Aside from Santos-Concio, ABS-CBN boss Malou Santos also visited the Capitol yesterday.
“Nakikipagtuwang ang pamalahaang panlalawigan sa mga organisasyon at pribadong sektor para paunlarin ang sektor ng agrikultura sa lalawigan,” said the province.
“Kahapon, pagkatapos ng pormal na pagbubukas ng Organic Stevia Farm sa Palhi, Calapan City, nakipagpulong sina New Zealand Head of Mission Tim Stewardson, Charos Santos-Concio at Malou Santos mula sa ABS-CBN Bantay Kalikasan para pag-usapan pa ang higit na pagtutuwang sa paglinang ng nasabing sektor sa probinsiya,” said the province.
Meanwhile, the Investment in Loving Organization for Village Economies (iLOVE), founded by former Environment Sec. Gina Lopez, recently launched its new program, Quest for Love.
The foundation will hold roadshow or “Kapihan para sa Bayan” today starting at 1 pm to be held at the Bulwagang Panlalawigan Capitol Complex.
According to the province, the Quest for Love is a nationwide search for Loving Organization seeking to “transform marginalized communities into viable local agro-forestry, fisheries or ecotourism, and the like.”
