City scholars pay courtesy visit to Calapan Mayor Panaligan
It’s a time to give back for the scholars of Calapan City.
Calapan City Mayor Arnan Panaligan was visited yesterday by a group of graduates who were able to finish their studies as a scholar of the city.
“A group of young graduates from a private college in Calapan City who were able to study and finish college as beneficiaries of the City Government Scholarship Program made a courtesy call to City Mayor Arnan C. Panaligan,” the mayor’s office said.
The graduates personally visited the mayor to show their gratitude for the scholarship granted to them.
“They expressed their gratitude to the City Government for giving them the opportunity to obtain college education,” said the mayor’s office.
Panaligan started the Bridge to the Future College Scholarship Program way back in 1996 during his earlier term as mayor.
“Since then, thousands of young Calapenos have been able to finish higher education as beneficiaries of the program,” it added.
