Come and visit Sorsogon! Gov. Rodrigueza touts natural beauty of his province
Sorsogon Governor Bobet Lee Rodrigueza has touted the natural beauty his province could offer to everyone, from its beaches up to its mountains.
Rodrogueza invited everyone to visit Gubat, which is making a name for itself as a “surfing haven in Sorsogon.”
“The birth of surfing here originated at an old breeding site of the Department of Agriculture, now known as Buenavista Surf Camp in Barangay Buenavista,” the governor shared.
“In recent years, locals have been tight-lipped about this reef break. It was not until some years ago, when Gubat’s surfing spot was finally exposed to tourists that highlighted surf competitions, gathering surfers from all over the country,” he added.
Moreover, for those who love hiking, Bulusan in Sorsogon is the perfect place for them.
“COME TO BULUSAN, SORSOGON! Nestled at the heart of Bulusan Volcano Natural Park is the Bulusan Lake, a popular tourist attraction in Bulusan, Sorsogon,” said the governor.
“For a reason, it was dubbed as the Switzerland of the Orient. Crawling with abundant wildlife, this green paradise could be the place you’ve been needing to chill out and give something back to your soul,” he added.
According to the governor, Bulusan Volcano is one of the most active volcanoes in the Philippines, and is a favorite peak of the mountaineers in the region because of its “rocky Blackbird Lake that is teeming with sulfuric steams.”
“Bulusan is blessed with natural charms, like springs and waterfalls. The delightful Bayugin Falls is an unsullied place for swimming and picnic,” said the governor.
