CamSur gov’t brings medical mission in remote barangay in Siruma town
The Provincial Government of Camarines Sur has continued conduct its series of medical mission, this time in Brgy. Sulpa in Siruma town.
The medical mission was spearheaded by CamSur Provincial Health Office last Sunday in the said municipality which benefited more than a hundred residents.
“The Provincial Health Office conducted a medical and surgical mission in Brgy. Sulpa, Siruma last Sunday,” said the province.
The provincial government said that the beneficiaries felt elated with the medical mission considering that the nearest hospital in barangay can be reached through boat by almost 1 hour and half.
“Residents of the brgy couldn’t conceal their joy and gratitude especially since it takes almost 90 minutes of boat ride from Brgy. Sulpa to Brgy. Poblacion where the municipal hospital is,” said the provincial government.
One of the beneficiaries, Rudy Martinez, has his cyst in hand removed. He also got free medicines for his medication.
“For six years, I had this cyst in my finger. It was really affecting my job as a hairdresser. Now, because of this medical and surgical mission of the province, my cyst was surgically removed for free and they also gave me free medicines for my healing,” said Martinez, 42 years old.
According to the province, a total of 171 residents received medical checkup and 14 benefitted from free minor surgeries.
“Of these 14, 11 boys underwent circumcision and 3 underwent removal of sebaceous cyst and lymphoma,” said the province.
