Calapan City requests P100M from DPWH for connector road project

The Calapan City council has approved today a resolution “earnestly” requesting the Department of Public Works and Highways to allocate P100 million for a connector road project in the city.

The proposed road project aims to connect two nautical highways from Barangay Tawiran to Barangay Guinobatan.

The city council okayed the “Resolution earnestly requesting Department of Public Works and Highways Secretary Mark A. Villar through Undersecretary for Planning Services, Ma. Catalina Cabral to allocate fund for the opening of road connecting two Nautical Highways from Barangay Tawiran to Barangay Guinobatan, City of Calapan, Province of Oriental Mindoro amounting to One Hundred Million Pesos (P100,000,000.00),”

Meanwhile, the city council also approved today the following resolutions:

• Resolution authorizing City Mayor Hon. Arnan Panaligan to enter into contract by and between the City Government of Calapan and 876 Construction & Supply for drainage construction in STI Building, OMNHS Compound, Barangay San Vicente East, City of Calapan, subject to applicable provisions of RA 9184, otherwise known as “GOVERNMENT PROCUREMENT REFORM ACT”.

• Resolution authorizing City Mayor Hon. Arnan Panaligan to enter into contract by and between the City Government of Calapan and Karangyan Builders & Traders for the completion of Multi-purpose Hall in Barangay Wawa, City of Calapan, subject to applicable provisions of RA 9184, otherwise known as “GOVERNMENT PROCUREMENT REFORM ACT”.

• Appropriation Ordinance regarding General Fund Annual Budget for FY 2018 of the following Barangays: Camansihan, Lalud, Masipit, and Patas.
Appropriation Ordinance No. 1, Series of 2018 of barangay Canubing I, City of Calapan regarding General Fund Supplemental Budget no. 1 for FY 2018 amounting to P122,974.35.
