Oriental Mindoro Governor Alfonso Umali, Jr. has expressed his gratitude to the Land Transportation Franchising and Regulatory Board (LTFRB) and other bus firms that helped the province during the lenten season.

Umali thanked the administration of DLTB.Co other bus companies that deployed buses in the province last week to mitigate their transportation woes.

The transportation system of the province hit a snag after the LTFRB suspended the operation of the Dimple Star bus following a deadly accident involving one of the latter’s buses.

During the lent, the provincial government and other local government units (LGUs) offered free rides to the passengers.

The operations in Calapan Port is now back to normal, according to the Oriental Mindoro provincial government.
