Kids don’t belong behind the wheel, reminds Odiongan Mayor Trina Fabic
Odiongan, Romblon Mayor Trina Firmalo Fabic is serious about road safety, especially when children are involved.
On Facebook, Fabic reminded her constituents that the Odiongan Municipal Police Station and Odiongan Traffic Regulatory Unit are cracking down on minors who are driving motorcycles and other vehicles.
They have also trained their sights on drivers who don’t have the proper licenses and don’t follow traffic rules, she said.
As part of their efforts, there are daily checkpoints. The mayor also reminded parents not to let their children drive if they don’t have the proper licenses as this carries heavy consequences, such as fines and impounding of the motorcycles.
They better listen as these are all for their own good!
Driving without a license = P3,500 na multa at impounded ang motorsiklo. Salamat sa inyong kooperasyon!” she posted.
