CamSur gov’t spearheads orientation on disability, Magna Carta for Disabled Person
The provincial government of Camarines Sur proved anew that it works towards an inclusive community for all.
Just recently, the provincial government held an orientation on disability and the Magna Carta for Disabled persons and was attended by PWD leaders in the province.
The said orientation was held at the Sangguninag Panlalawigan session hall and spearheaded by the Provincial Social Welfare and Development Office.
“29 PWD leaders from different municipalities of Camsur gathered today at Sangguniang Panlalawigan session hall for the Basic Orientation on Disability & R.A. 9442 “Magna Carta for Disabled Person” initiated by the Provincial Social Welfare and Development Office,” the province of CamSur said.
One of those who attended the orientation, Elena Revarez, Sipocot Federation President on PWD, said that the session was helpful as they gained new knowledge be shared in their community.
“This orientation is very essential because we are all engaged to know our responsibilities as PWD leader. With this, we can also share our knowledge to other PWD member in our community,” Revarez was quoted as saying.
Meanwhile, Governor Miguel Villafuerte said that such program is part of his administration’s goal to have an inclusive environment for all.
“Working towards an inclusive community for the People of Camsur,” said Villafuerte.
