Mayor Panaligan sees job opportunities with the opening of Toyota branch in Calapan City
Just in time for its 20th founding anniversary, the “biggest investment” in the Calapan City has just been opened.
Mayor Arnan Panaligan led the ribbon-cutting ceremony during the opening of the Toyota Calapan City last Saturday together with Toyota Calapan City president Ernesto Tan, Toyota Motors Philippines president Satoru Suzuki and Toyota Motors Philippines executive vice president Kei Mizuguchi.
Also present were Cong. Doy Leachon, City Vice Mayor Gil Ramirez and the City Councilors.
“Toyota Calapan City is the biggest Toyota outlet in the Philippines in terms of land area,” Mayor Panaligan’s office said.
Panaligan said during his speech that the opening of Toyota in Calapan City is “a sign of investor confidence in the dynamism of the local economy.”
The mayor said that the recent investment will surely generate employment and income opportunities for the local residents and will have a “multiplier effect in the growth of other enterprises in the city.”
“Mayor Panaligan further stated that the opening of Toyota Calapan City bolsters the city’s status as an investment and business friendly city, a recognition bestowed to Calapan City by the Philippine Chamber of Commerce and Industry,” the city said.
For his part, Vice-Mayor Ramirez echoed Panaligan and said that the opening of Toyota will surely bring jobs for the reside the city.
“Tiwala po ang mga mamumuhunan na maglagak ng kanilang negosyo sa Calapan City dahil nakita nila ang malaking potensyal para sa higit pang uunlad sa ating lungsod,” said Ramirez.
“Malaking oportunidad po ito sa mga taga lungsod sapagkat tiyak na trabaho naman ang hatid nito sa aming mga kababayang kabataan,” he added.
