CamSur gov’t conducts 3-day training on mushroom production in Camaligan town
Farmers and women from Camaligan, Camarines Sur have attended a training on mushroom cultivation spearheaded by the provincial government.
A total of 27 farmers and rural women benefited from the said program with the aim of giving them an opportunity to earn more.
The said training was conducted by the Agricultural Training Institute Regional Training Center V-Bicol (ATI-RTC5) together with the Provincial Agriculture Office (OPA) and Department of Agriculture Regional Field Office V.
“27 farmers and rural women of Camaligan, Camarines Sur learned how to culture, produce, and process mushrooms as the Agricultural Training Institute Regional Training Center V-Bicol (ATI-RTC5) with the Provincial Agriculture Office (OPA) and Department of Agriculture Regional Field Office V (DA-RFO5) spearheaded the 3-Day Training on Mushroom Production and Processing,” the province said.
The province said that mushroom is gaining cult following and they want the residents to seize that opportunity to earn.
“With the popularization of mushroom products nowadays, it is no wonder that this training will surely help the participants to gain more profit and welcome new opportunities,” said the province.
The provincial government said that “the training ended with a strong hope that after this, they will successfully apply what they learned and culture their own mushrooms.”
