Oriental Mindoro Rep. Umali gives P3M financial assistance to scholars in his district
Despite his hectic schedule at the House of Representatives, Oriental Mindoro Rep. Reynaldo Umali does not forget his constituents in the province’s second district.
Umali’s office has provided another financial assistance to the scholars his district.
“Ikinagagalak ko po ang muling pagbibigay ng tulong pinansyal sa ating mga scholar sa 2nd District ng Oriental Mindoro,” said Umali.
“Tayo po ay naglaan ng P3 milyong pondo para sa allowances ng mga mag-aaral sa ilalim ng Special Training for Employment Program (STEP),” he added.
Umali was also able to provide toolkits for their trainings.
“Ang TESDA-Mimaropa naman po ay namahagi ng P4 milyon para sa Training for Work Scholarship Program (TWSP) at espesyal na alokasyon na P587,000 sa Farm School na bahagi ng Program on Accelerating Farm School Establishment (PAFSE),” he said.
According to Umali, there are 907 scholars in the second district who are taking up technical vocational courses sa 19 TESDA training institutes.
He said that a total of na P7.5 million has been provided for them.
Umali, the chairman of House committee on justice, is currently drafting the articles of impeachment against Chief Justice Ma. Lourdes Sereno.
Umali’s committee recently found probable cause to impeach Sereno with a vote of 38-2.
