Bulusan town gives financial aid to Albay residents affected by Mayon unrest
Unity truly resides in the hearts of Bicolanos.
The Municipality of Bulusan in Sorsogon has donated a financial aid to Albay province for the residents affected by Mayon’s eruptive activities.
“The municipality of Bulusan, Sorsogon through Engr. Ken Mark Ragasa, Norie Gacias, and Renard Garados, turned over Php 100, 000 cash assistance for the victims of the continuous eruptions from the Mayon volcano,” the Albay provincial government said.
The donation was received by Provincial Administrator Engr. Vida Corazon Prollamante last March 6, 2018 at the Albay Capitol.
Moreover, as part of Naga City’s Tabang Mayon project, officers of the Naga City Local Government Unit Employees Alliance (NACiLGUEA) also turned over a financial aid to Sto. Domingo, Albay.
The check was given to Sto. Domingo Mayor Herbie Aguas worth P 60,000 as contribution of the member-employees of the city government for the residents affected by Mayon unrest.
Mayon Volcano’s status has been lowered from Alert Level 4 (hazardous eruption imminent) to Alert Level 3 (decreased tendency towards hazardous eruption) last March 6.
“Alert level 3 means that there is a decreased tendency towards hazardous explosive eruption BUT should not be interpreted that unrest has ceased,” the province earlier said.
