CamSur gov’t conducts training on native chicken raising in Lagonoy town

Residents of Brgy. Gubat in Lagonoy town were the beneficiaries of the training on basic management of raising native chickens provided by the Camarines Sur provincial government.

Forty residents in the said remote barangay were chosen to be part of the training conducted by the provincial government.

“40 residents of Barangay Gubat, Lagonoy took part in the Integrated Community Food Production: Organic Native Chicken Production Management Training held at the Brgy. Gubat Discussion Room last February 21, 2018,” the province said.

The training aims to equip the participants with knowledge of producing organic eggs which could bring them additional income.

“The training tackled basic management of raising native chickens to produce organic eggs and the vast profit of organic eggs and chickens in the market nowadays,” said the province.

One of the beneficiaries thanked the governement for bringing such training in the said barangay.

“As you can see, we are residing in a very remote area where only few vehicles pass by,” said Milagros Rellora, one if the beneficiaries of the training, said.

Rellora believes that the training could help them in improving their livelihood.

“However, the Provincial Government never hesitated to come up here and visit to introduce to us new techniques in poultry production and help us in our livelihood,” she said.
