CamSur provincial gov’t awards members of augmentation team that rendered service in Albay for Mayon evacuees
The Provincial Government of Camarines Sur has formally recognized the efforts and sacrifices of the members of the augmentation team sent to Albay to help evacuees.
For 14 days, the Team CamSur has rendered selfless service for the evacuees at the Mauraro Elementary School at Mauraro High School in Guinobatan Albay.
“This morning, members of Team CamSur were recognized and awarded with certificates by the Provincial Government of Camarines Sur,” the provincial government said.
The team spent two weeks “Uplifting Lives and Enhancing Resilience” for their fellow Bicolanos who have been affected by the Mayon eruption.
During the event this morning, a “symbolic turnover” of the Final Report of Team CamSur also happened.
The team sent to Albay was composed of doctors, nurses, policemen, firemen, psychosocial therapists, and even a cultural group to entertain evacuees.
They also brought ambulances, lorry trucks, trucks for firewoods, trucks for relief goods, a rescue truck.
CamSur Gov. Miguel Villafuerte earlier said that their goal is to “uplift lives and enhance resilience” of their fellow Bicolanos.
During their service in Albay, the Team CamSur built cooking and bath areas in the evacuation centers and conduct psychosocial activities, among others, for the evacuees.
