Calapan City kicks off Oral Health Month celebration
The City of Calapan has recently kicked off the celebration of the 14th Oral Health Month spearheaded by the City Health and Sanitation Department Dental Section.
This year’s Oral Health Month’s celebration carries the theme: “Ngipin ay alagaan mula sa sinapupunan para sa magandang ngiti hanggang sa katandaan.”
The celebration was done in partnership with the City Social Welfare Department, Persons with Disability Affairs Office, DMCI Power Corporation, Department of Health MIMAROPA and Oriental Mindoro Dental Chapter and was held in the covered court of Barangay Sto. Niño last February 13.
For his part, Calapan City Vice Mayor Gil Ramirez highlighted the importance of havibg a good oral hygiene, specially when communicating with others.
Meanwhile, Calapan City Mayor Arnan Panaligan said that he started this program to encourage his residents to have healthy oral hygiene.
Moreover, a free cleaning and tooth extraction were also provided for PWDs. They also get personal hygiene kits from DMCI Corporation.
