The Palawan Provincial Board has recently approved a resolution allowing Governor Jose Ch. Alvarez to enter into agreement with organizations to strengthen the Integrated Poverty Reduction project of the province.

The Integrated Poverty Reduction project was launched last year with the aim of reducing poverty incidence in the province.

The said project is under the Community-Based Gender and Development Program of the provincial government.

As part of the initial steps towards its full implementation, the Provincial Planning and Development Office (PPDO) conducted a survey to identify the beneficiaries of the program, including the poor and Indigenous Peoples.
