Oriental Mindoro to build ‘modernized comfort rooms’ for residents

The provincial government of Oriental Mindoro has taken initial steps towards realizing the modernized comfort room program of Governor Alfonso Umali, Jr.

A team from the Provincial Capitol recently visited barangays in Victoria town to hold dialogues with the residents as regards the Oplan Palikuran of the provincial government.

The team from the provincial capitol that visited barangays Duongan and Urdaneta was led by the officials from the Office of the Governor, Provincial Engineer’s Office, Provincial Nutrition Action, and representatives from Provincial Health Office.

“Sa direktiba ni Gobernador Alfonso “PA” Umali Jr. upang tuluyan nang masolusyunan ang suliranin sa kalusugan ng ilang mga barangay na sakop ng bayan Victoria ilulunsad ng Pamahalaang Panlalawigan ang bagong disenyo at naaangkop sa lugar na ” modernized comfort room” para sa mga tahanang hanggang sa kasalukuyan ay walang sariling palikuran partikukar sa mga barangay ng Duongan at Urdaneta,” the province said.

“[N]auna nang bumisita, nakipagdayalogo at komunsulta sa mga residente ng barangay sina Dr. Don Stepherson Calda ng Office of the Governor, Engr. Venancio ng Provincial Engineer’s Office, Provincial Nutrition Action Officer Norine Dacula, Dr. Elsa Alberto at iba pang mga kinatawan mula sa Department of Health, Provincial Health Office, at LGU Victoria upang mas malaman ng grupo ang iba pang nararapat na ilapat na programang aalalay sa mamamayan maliban sa bagong oplan palikuran,” the provincial government added.

Dr. Calda said that Gov. Umali wants to fast-track the implementation of the program to help the residents who are in need of modernized comfort rooms.
