Win or lose: Catanduanes Gov. Cua backs province’s delegates to National Schools Press Conference
Catanduanes Governor Joseph “Boboy” Cua has backed his province’s delegates in the upcoming National Schools Press Conference to be held in Dumaguete by giving them cash incentives.
Twenty-six students from Catanduanes together with their coaches has received P2,000 cash incentives last January 29.
The financial grant was given as an incentive for making it to the national level of the annual schools press conference.
“The Provincial Government will use its resources in supporting our students”, Governor Cua told the delegates.
Meanwhile, the issue on the accommodation of the delegates flying to Dumaguete was also resolved through the efforts of Governor Cua.
Governor Cua also lobbied to Governor Roel Ragay Degamo of Negros Oriental for the free accommodation of the delegates.
“We hope that you bring home the bacon. But win or lose, we are proud of you”, Cua said.
The National Schools Press Conference will be held on February 19-21, 2018. Dr. Gina Pantino, Education Program Supervisor in English, said that this is by far the “largest delegation that our province will be sending to the national press con tilt.”
