The Palawan Provincial Health Office has took part in in the recently conducted Program Implementation Review and Data Quality Check of Detect Tuberculosis (TB) Program in Manila.
The Palawan delegate was represented by personnel of the Provincial Health Office (PHO) namely, Pamela L. Garcia, unit head ng Infectious Disease Unit (IDU) who is also the National Tuberculosis Program (NTP) Coordinator in Palawan and Cyrus Cecilio Caabay, unit head ng Environmental Sanitation and Public Health Laboratory.
“Nakibahagi ang Pamahalaang Panlalawigan ng Palawan sa isinagawang Program Implementation Review and Data Quality Check ng Detect Tuberculosis (TB) Program kaugnay ng implementasyon nito sa lalawigan,” the province said.
The event was held last January 23 to 26 in Manila.
“Pangunahing layunin nito na ma-validate ang mga datos na nakalap ng kanilang tanggapan at magsagawa ng pagtatasa upang mas lalong mapabuti ang implementasyon ng Detect TB program sa mga probinsiyang sakop ng MIMAROPA, ani Gng. Garcia,” said the province.
As of now, the province of Palawan has recorded over 100 TB patients last year.
“Samantala, napag-alaman mula kay Gng. Garcia na mayroong humigit isangdaang katao na may sakit na TB ang naitala sa Palawan para sa taong 2017,” the province said
