Lodi lola! Ex Albay Rep. Grex Lagman remembers feisty lola on her birth anniversary
Former Albay Rep. Grex Lagman is proud to be descended from a woman who was ahead of her time.
Lagman paid tribute to the birth anniversary of his paternal grandmother, Cecilia Castelar-Lagman or Nana, who passed away in 2012.
On Facebook, Grex described his Nana as a woman ahead of her time.
She worked as a public school teacher and raised two activists. She was also the founding chair of the Families of Victims of Enforced Disappearance.
She may be gone, but her legacy lives on!
“Happy birth anniversary to my lola, Nana (Cecilia [Cao] Castelar-Lagman)! ❤️️ A woman so ahead of her time. 😊
She was born and raised in Ogob, Malinao. A public school teacher for close to three decades in Albay. Founding chairperson of Families of Victims of Enforced Disappearance (FIND).
