Jan 25, 2018 @ 18:43

The Palawan provincial government will strengthen the implementation of Reproductive Health Law in province.

The Sangguniang Panlalawigan has recently approved the Res. 13511, pushed by BM Eduardo Modesto V. Rodriguez.

The said resolution seeks to beef up the implementation of the Republic Act 10354 or the Responsible Parenthood and Reproductive Health (RPRH) Law.

“Ang RH Law ay naisabatas noong ika-21 ng Disyembre taong 2012 at ang implementasyon nito ay inilunsad ng pamahalaan sa pamamagitan ng Executive Order No.12 na pinalabas ng Pangulong Rodrigo Duterte noong ika-9 ng Enero taong 2017,” the province said.

The RH Law addresses needs of the people on reproductive health and proper family planning.

The province has earlier formedthe Provincial Family Health Council (PFHC) that will prioritize implementation of the the RH Law.

“Ang PFHC ay pinangungunahan ng Gobernador bilang tagapangulo at Provincial Health Officer bilang Co-Chairman nito,” said the province.
