Palawan Gov. Alvarez leads groundbreaking of DILG’s Kalsada Project in Brooke’s Point
Palawan Governor Jose Chavez Alvarez has led the groundbreaking ceremony of the Kalsada Project that will benefit two barangays in Brooke’s Point town.
The ceremony was held last Jan. 19 in Brooke’s Point and was attended by Mayor Jean Feliciano as well as Board Member Eduardo Modesto V. Rodriguez.
The two beneficiaries of the project under the Department of Interior and Local Government’s KALSADA program through Conditional Matching Grant for Provinces (CMGP) are Barangay Calasaguen feeder road at Ipilan-Linao road.
“Ang kalsadang isasagawa sa barangay Calasaguen ay may habang 4.780 kilometro at makikinabang dito ang nasa limang daan at walumpot syam na mga kabahayan,” the province said, saying that the project has a total budget of P62,339,864.
Governor Chavez said that the projects will make the transport of goods easier for the resident in the said barangays.
