Marinduque residents get free cataract surgery from NGO

Dec 7, 2017 @ 18:26

Residents of Marinduque province got free cataract surgery from the Dr. Damian Reyes Provincial Hospital.

The free medical service was led by Dra. Violette O. Reyes through the Lion’s Club, a non-government organization.

“Gamit ang mga bagong equipment at medical supplies mula pang ibang bansa ay dumagsa ang pasyenteng may katarata sa pagasang sila ay muling makakakita ng malinaw,” the provincial government said.

According to the Lion’s Club, the doctors who rendered services trained in India, where the biggest eye hospital in the world is located.

“Sa libreng cataract surgery nila ay siguradong mas liliwanag ang mga paningin ng ating mga kababayan lalo ng mga nakatatanda na lumabo ang mata dahil sa katarata,” the provincial government said.
