Palawan anti-drug abuse council rolls out plans for 2018
The Palawan Provincial Anti-Drug Abuse Council (PADAC) has laid down its programs and activities for next year during its last meeting for 2017.
The PADAC held its last meeting for this year last November 28, where the council discussed the province’s Community Enhancement and Livelihood Project or CELP for the recovering drug surenderees.
“Iprinisenta rin dito ang mga plano ng konseho para sa taong 2018 tulad ng pagpapalawak pa ng kaalaman patungkol sa R.A 9165 o Comprehensive Dangerous Drug Act,” the province said.
“Sa kasalukuyan ay napasimulan na sa ilang munisipyo sa hilaga at sur ng lalawigan partikular sa mga mag-aaral ng Grade 9-12 ang c campaign kaugnay ng usaping ito na magpapatuloy sa susunod na taon,” it added.
Meanwhile, the Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency said that out of 367 barangays in Palawan, only 225 have reported drug incidence while 142 were not affected.
The meeting was attended by Philippine National Police Provincial Director PSSupt. Gabriel Cruz Lopez as Vice Chairman, Vice-Governor Victorino Dennis M. Socrates, LtGen. Galileo Gerard R. Kintanar, Jr. of the Western Command, Provincial Director Mario C. Daquer of the Department of the Interior and Local Government-Palawan, among others.
