Dec 2, 2017 @ 12:27

Camarines Sur Governor Migz Villafuerte has announced the cancellation of classes in both private and private schools and work in government offices on Monday due to transport strike.

A 2-day nationwide mass transport strike is slated on December 4 to 5 to protest the planned phaseout of jeepneys starting next year.

“Due to the nationwide transport strike, classes in all levels (private and public) are suspended in Camsur on Monday, December 4, 2017,” Villafuerte said.

“Work in [government] offices are suspended as well,” the young governor said in a tweet.

Albay governor Al Francis Bichara has also ordered the suspension of classes in his province due to the said mass transport strike.
