Ex-Caramoan mayor Cordial charged for falsifying attendance of councilors
Former Caramoan, Camarines Sur mayor Constantino Cordial Jr. has been charged before the Sandiganbayan for the alleged falsifications of municipal resolutions.
The Office of the Ombudsman filed against Cordial two counts of falsification of official documents.
Under the charges, Cordial is accused of falsifying two resolutions in March 2014.
The resolutions were made to appear that the councilors at time–Eduardo Bonita, Lydia Obias, and Francis Benemerito–participated and attended the deliberations of the official documents.
However, the Ombudsman pointed out Cordial “well knew that Councilors Bonita, Obias, and Benemetiro did not so participate nor attend during its deliberation and neither was (the resolution) unanimously approved by all the members of the council.”
