Pang PR: PHLPost to issue stamps featuring tourist spots
To boost tourism in the Philippines, the Philippine Postal Corp. is coming up with stamps featuring the country’s tourist attractions.
PHLPost said a postage stamp is an ambassador for the country as it tells stories of its beautiful places to visit.
“The purpose is to trigger awareness and information about the tourist’s areas which the Department of Tourism and the Tourism Promotions Board can provide that could attract foreigners to visit the Philippines,” it said.
While PHLPost did not elaborate, it said some of these tourist spots include Boracay, Palawan, and Bohol.
It added such stamps will “surely arouse the interest of tourists about these areas and of the extraordinary
beauty of these Philippine Tourist destination spots.”
PHLPost also said this is in support of House Bill 5362 by Paranaque Rep. Eric Olivarez, requiring the printing of postage stamps depicting Philippine tourist spots.
