NFA rice: bad no more
Forget about the old tale of rancid, fake, old NFA rice.
A National Food Authority officer in Palawan assured the Palawenos the NFA rice they will receive are new and of good quality.
During the recent Kapihan sa Philippine Information Agency-Palawan, Ferlie Ancheta, officer-in-charge of NFA-Palawan, said it’s high time to let go of the substandard NFA rice mentality.
To increase the rice supply, Ancheta also encouraged the farmers to sell their grains to the government through the Sikat Saka program.
Recently, the NFA became controversial following reports Marawi victims and evacuees had been receiving spoiled rice. Some of them reportedly experienced stomach pain after eating the rice which was part of the relief goods sent to Iligan.
