Rachel Peters’s words prove she’s Filipino first

Fil-Brit Rachel Peters is definitely Filipino first, and we dig that aspect of her.

The Binibining Pilipinas-Universe 2017 hit all the patriotic notes with her Independence Day message, which she shared on Instagram. The post came with a pictures of her standing majestically on a parade float.

“Today, as we celebrate our 119th Independence Day, let us honor and remember all the Filipinos who have fought, sacrificed and who have given their all for our country. Let’s also continue to support and pray for our brave soldiers who are fighting to protect our country even today, in Marawi,” she wrote, referring to the raging conflict down south.

“As a nation we must work together to provide peace and the strength for each other to achieve the stability in our lives, that we all deserve and strive for,” added the bae of Camarines Sur Governor Migz Villafuerte.

Now that’s our kind of beauty queen!
