Daet, Camarines Sur Mayor Benito Ochoa is on a hunt to find out the personalities who should be held liable for the alleged anomalous P20-million waste segregation facility program of the local government.

This, as the politiko has begun asking several individuals in writing regarding what they know about the project, and what possibly went wrong with its implementation.

A Camarines Norte News report Thursday, July 1 said that among those who Mayor Ochoa wrote for their explanations were Municipal Engineer Jesus Thomas Fernandez Jr., the Bids and Awards Committee (BAC) chairman; former General Services Officer Julian Daria Jr.; former MENRO Officer Rene Rosales; current MENRO Officer Ramon Ramos, Municipal Accountant Caroline Maisie Robles and Municipal Treasurer Ginoong Rodante Forbes.

The project, which supposedly rolled out during the last year of former mayor Tito Sarion’s administration, was financed through a P20-million bank loan.

The multi-million peso equipment for the garbage project which have long been purchased remain unused.

Using the personal accounts and possible documents that he will collect from the local officials, Ochoa and his legal team will determine who should be slapped with charges in connection with the project.
