Bicol broadcaster faces threats, raps from mayor’s ‘bodyguard’
A broadcaster based in Bicol has sought police assistance after allegedly receiving threats for his comments on illegal gambling in Daraga town in Albay.
Brigada FM broadcaster Jolas Lazado said he felt threatened by the social media post of a certain Jaime Glenn Llasos on social media.
Llasos is reportedly a retired policeman and bodyguard of Mayor Gerry Jaucian.
According to Lazado, Llasos’ social media post tagged him as a member of a syndicate together with one Joseph Aguilar.
Lazado said Llasos could be trying to get even with him after Lazado reported an incident between Aguilar and Llasos.
The incident supposedly involved Llasos interrogating Aguilar when Aguilar tried to seek an audience with Mayor Jaucian.
In that incident, Aguilar was barred from entering the mayor’s office and was instead brought to a secret room for interrogation.
According to police report, Aguilar was barred from getting inside the office of Jaucian instead was brought to a “secret room” near mayor’s office and allegedly “interrogated” by Llasos.
