Vinzons Councilor Pimentel: Vice mayor’s post was never my ambition

Apr 17, 2017 @ 19:37

Vinzons, Camarines Norte Councilor Joaquin Emmanuel “Jay” Pimentel never had any ambition to become vice mayor of the municipality.

Pimentel had this to say in a Brigada News FM Daet report Monday (April 17), or 10 days after he took over the position of acting vice mayor from Ligaya Heraldo.

Heraldo, who is facing an administrative charge (abuse of authority) was earlier slapped with a two-month preventive suspension order.

In the report, Pimentel, as if to assure that he’ll leave Heraldo’s post in due time, said that he never intended to be vice mayor. He noted that he would’ve ran for the position during the past elections if he did.

At any rate, the politiko vowed to do his best as acting vice mayor, even as he retains his position as councilor.

Liga ng mga Barangay President Jose Segundo, Barangay Chairman Manuel Obusan and former mayor Oliver Ferrer were the ones who pressed charges against Heraldo.
