Cho Roco castigates Leni over UN video: Shameful!
The brother of late senator Raul Roco, Sulpicio “Cho” Roco Jr., has described Vice President Leni Robredo’s United Nations (UN) video denouncing the administration’s war on illegal drugs as “shameful.”
“I have carefully avoided commenting on the vice president’s exploits but this once I will: Leni, nakakasopog an guinibo mo!!! (Leni, your actions are shameful),” Roco posted on Facebook.
Roco is a former Naga City mayor and Camarines Sur 2nd district congressman.
In a Bicol Standard report Friday (March 17), Roco said that the lady politiko’s videotaped tirade against President Rodrigo Duterte’s anti-drug war was uncalled for. The tape was sent to the United Nations Narcotics body.
“Supog na ako ta taga-Naga kaya ako (I am ashamed because I am from Naga City),” he was quoted as saying.
“Mondo ako na an oportunidad na niregalo sa Naga na magkaigwa nin bise presidente nasayang,” (I am sad that the opportunity that was given to Naga City as a gift to have a vice president went to waste),” he added, referring to Robredo.
Roco is an ex-ally of Robredo’s late husband, former Interior secretary and Naga mayor, Jesse Robredo.
